She keeps growing and growing! What about you?

Last Friday marked a milestone of sorts...Lily was 3 months old!! Man how those 3 months have flown by!! Amanda and I have really enjoyed every minute since she has been here. Yeah there have been some sleep deprived nights and some plans that were changed at the last minute because of our little angel, but every moment has been worth it.



As a youth minister and a teacher our lives are often hectic, especially from the youth minister's stand point. There are many things that go on throughout the course of a week that would pull time from the family if we allowed it. Amanda and I both decided when we moved to Lebanon and began this position that we would always have our children involved in whatever we were doing. So as of now we have not missed much because of our baby girl, and she has already experienced more than some do in their first 5 years....but that is way we wanted it!!



One thing is for sure she is growing like a weed. Not one day is the same, she is constantly changing. One day she looks like me, the next its Amanda, and after that we don't have a clue. She is growing constantly and that is a great thing!!



I was thinking....can we say the same thing about ourselves. Not in the literal sense, because if you are like me you are necessarily looking for physical growth, especially on the scales. :). What about spiritual growth? Are you growing in your love for Christ each and everyday. Do you see the need or realize how important it is to grow in God? It is my prayer everyday that I will be like Lily, in the sense that no day is like the last....I am having new experiences and feeling the growth of my soul each day. What about you?!
