A Time to Post....

Often times I just don't have the words.....that has been the case for the last couple of months when it has come to blog posts. I remember saying when I started this (blog) that I would try to take the time to make one post per week, well that didn't last long. I also realize that I am not a profound writer and no one really cares about reading what I have to say...trust me I understand!
Often times I just don't have the words....when it comes to my prayers to God! Therefore I find myself treating it like this blog, and I just don't pray at all. I know I am not the only one who feels this way, and I know that I need to be more diligent in my conversations with God, but often times I just don't have the words. The other day while studying the Psalms number 141 to be exact, it hit me. I had one of those "light bulb" moments, when something in which I thought was so hard to understand was made so simple, like turning a switch on! David was open with God, David doesn't seem to try to find the write words to say but just simply says what he needs to say or feels that he needs to say! David makes a simple plea to God and continues to build on that plea throughout many of his prayers in the book of Psalms. David just talks to God!
I want to be more open and honest with God, I want to be able to come in his presence and my words be like worship to him, I want God to know that I value a relationship with him, and I want God to know that I need him. Often times I just don't have the words, but that shouldn't keep me from talking to God....

  1. I know where you are coming from, Nick. I feel the same way some times. We are studying Psalms in our Dorcas class on Tuesday and it is a wonderful study on prayer. We just finished the morning and evening prayer in Psalms 3 and 4.
