Slow Down and Look Around

I cannot believe that the month of December is almost half over. December is probably my favorite month of the year. Not only because it is the month of my birthday and Christmas, but I just love the feeling of cheer that most people have during this time. This December has been unlike any other for us, we just moved into a new house and just got our Christmas decorations up less than a week ago. We have been super busy so far this month.

This morning I was reminded to slow down and look around at all the great things that have been and will continue to happen around me. I have not had the chance to really take in the spirit of this month that I love so much, but starting today I am going to start taking it all in. I look forward to seeing my family and spending time with them and I promise to soak it all in. I look forward to seeing Lily's eyes light up at the sight of seeing what Santa has brought her and I promise to soak it all in. I look forward to spending time with everyone that is special in my life and I promise to soak it all in. Finally, I look forward to reflecting on the year that has passed, preparing to set the tone for 2011, and I promise to soak it all in.

So, before this month and this year slips away...take time to Slow Down and Look Around!!
