Snow Time In Tennessee!!

Since I was a young fellow I have always loved it when it snowed! I know most kids love the snow because they get of school, but I have always loved the magic of it all and the kind of anticipation it brings, much like the Christmas holidays. I don't think there is any system of weather that causes the same amount of excitement than when it snows!

This was Lily's second snow in her short life of 8 months, but this was here first real snow! Amanda and I took her out this morning in her 8 layers and a blanket to get some pictures! She was great and loved it, we even put her down on the ground (with a jacket under her...for all of you freaking out) to get some pictures of her first real snow! She was really enjoying her time outside except for the flurries blowing in her face. Oh, I forgot to tell you we had socks on her hands for gloves!

But you know I thought about this yesterday as the snow was coming and the grocery stores were packed....I wonder if God has a plan for this weather? I know God is in control of everything, so I wonder if he has a plan for this snow. What if God brought the snow to slow us down, what if he decided that we needed to spend some time at home with our families, something that we tend to forget because we are "so busy" and we have "so many" things that "have to get done"! What if God brought the snow so we could slow down and just relax?

I hope that all of you who read this have slowed down and enjoyed the snow, I know I have! I also hope that if you cannot get out in the morning to go to worship at your home congregations that you will take this special opportunity to worship at home with your families! I know that can be a great time and I know that God will be present!

Thank You God for knowing what we need- Nick
