Out of Your MIND....

I am guessing when you look at the guy posted above you may be thinking, "That guy is crazy, or he must be out of his mind to dress and look like that." For the most part I would have to agree. If any of you have ever attended a sporting event live or watched one on TV you have seen this guy or a guy like this, they are FANatics for their team and they will do crazy out of their mind things in order to support their team! There may even be some of you who are reading this that would fall into this category, or maybe you have done something like this before!! It blows my mind how we can put so much effort in looking ridiculous for a team, event, cause, or idea but when it comes to the cause of Christ we want to set on our hands and play the quiet unassuming non-emotional person in the corner! WHY? Why is it so hard for us to live "out of our minds" for Jesus Christ, our SAVIOR?
In 2 Corinthians 5:13 the apostle Paul says this, "If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you." Paul was a man, preacher, believer, and bold proclaimer for the cause of Christ. He lived his life so much for the glory of our Lord that he was imprisoned numerous times, flogged over and over, and close to death's door time and time again, yet he lived each and every day for Christ! Now, most of you would agree that he had to be "out of his mind" to suffer all of this and still live for Christ! I ask myself, if I had been beaten, thrown in prison, and looked death in the face because I was proclaiming the message of God, would I still be doing it or would I have given up! Paul, lived his life "out of his mind" and he lived it as to share the mind of Christ and to give him the glory!! WOW!! Can I say that about myself? Am I "out of my mind" for my Lord and Savior? Do I live each and every day for the cause of Christ and to glorify him? Or when it becomes uncomfortable or too risky do I drop the ball and run away? Not Paul.... "That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Corinthians 12:10. Can we say that? Can we say when we are at our best is when we are having to totally rely on God to pull us through? Are we "out of our minds", not to the point that we are certifiably crazy, but that we rely on God over ourselves!!
