Will the "Real" Tennessee please stand up.....

I know it is too early in the Lane Kiffin era to make a judgement, but I miss what the University of Tennessee used to be!! I can remember the days in the late 80's and especially the 90's that make me proud to be a Tennessee Volunteer. I remember long runs up the middle against Alabama (Shawn Bryson), touchdown passes that were a sight to behold (Heath Shuler, Petyon Manning, Tee Martin, and even Casey Clausen), goal line stands (Bill Duff stuffing Eddie George in the Citrus Bowl), and being able to keep a drive going by converting a 3rd down or stopping a drive by breaking up a pass or making a tackle behind the line of scrimmage. What has happened to those days?

One memory that sticks out in my mind is listening to UT games on the radio (being called by John Ward and Bill Anderson) with my Dad on a cool fall afternoon. We never had to concern ourselves with losing in November and I can remember many Octobers during that span (when we had Alabama's number) that we did not loose then. What has happened?

I know the game against Western Kentucky was by all cases out of the norm for Jonathan Crompton, and I for one do not want to see a constant switching of QB's all season long, but can we please have those days back....because I miss them! I want to feel the pride that I used too when I wear my Orange and White. I don't want to be embarrassed when someone makes a comment about me being a Tennessee fan....I want those days back!

Isn't it great to know that we serve a God that has never changed?!?! The one and only true and living God has always been the same from the days of Abraham until now! No matter how much time has passed or how many people have moved on...God is still the same. He is still the same "Real" God that he always was and always will be!! So in a day I would love to see the "REAL" and old Tennessee come back....God is still there and is the same and is as "REAL" as he has ever been!! That's what really matters!!
